It is now really a disappointed situation with the Dorren Demodulator. I think, a development, which needs more then 2 years is endangered, that the the project will not be finished. For himself, each can take also 10 years or mor for his private hobby, but he has reported to the fans, that he is building such a new demodulator for them and has given rises for hope and enthusiasm. I have arranged for him the retipping of 2 Pick ups from Grado with best results, as Lou has mailed. He has asked me, if the retipping man could also retip 400 Grados. Also that was possible. But no further Grados was send. So a time of around 5 years is absolute too long. I have written him a year ago with e-mail, that I have my doubts and in such long times of development can take place always situations, which could stop the project - may be technical difficulties or unfortunately also by health. Or there is an possibility of an earthquake in the area of San Francisco (where he is living) and the prototype can be damaged. One of the first both situation must be the reason, because we don't hear nothing from him since 7 monthes. I think, this demodultor is further on only a dream of us. Most of our fans here don't meanwhile belive, that there is hope, that we could built in such a new Demodulator in our equipment rack. May be, that we will receive in some future the reason, why the wellcome project has stopped. Or the demodulator rises like a phoenix from the ashes. But wonders ar unfortunately rare. If Lou will read this message, he may now make a clean sweep of it.
