It doesn't hurt to try. QS encodes will work better than SQ via an AVR. I have never been impressed by any Dolby surround decoder but results may vary.Just saw this thread and have a question. Do you need a matrix decoder to play these CD's in quadro or would an AVR do the same??
Since I don't have dedicated decoder equipment then it wouldn't make sense for me getting some of those CD's.
Thanks in advance,
Horst
Could the blu-ray also be encoded with Matrix H?WOW!!!!
I mean to actually have issued a BBC QUAD MATRIX H program on CD in this day and age.
Not only a Matrix H Concert of Jack Bruce music , ...but includes the introduction from April 30th 1977 , (the first day of the BBC Quad tests of their new matrix H) and including the revered BBC MATRIX H QUAD Mini H TEST in the form of 4 Hello's .
This is a quadraphile collectors dream come true.
I'm told this will decode with an Involve Surround Master, in Involve mode.
So here it is , Jack Bruce , disc #4 from the CD set Smiles and Grins, Live BBC .
