Still waiting for the US release. Preordered a while ago.

Stephen, thanks for your care and thoughtfulness in working on this project, We greatly appreciate your communication with our members. Our little niche often is substantial in our support for great music coupled with great surround mixes. Personally, I'm excited about this, although my bank account isn't as enamored.

Bought this on Q8, CD & 5.1 SACD. One of my most played Quads. I eagerly await adding this definitive version of what might be their best album. No jeers, please, Days fans.

thanks again!

i've been following Classic Album Review on YouTube for a while now (think he's Barry?) anyway, he is a great guy with good knowledge and fun opinions on just the kind of music i love so i regularly enjoy his content.. and it was a pleasant surprise to see him unboxing and reviewing an advanced copy of this new release i am rather feverishly anticipating.. i do wish he had somehow been able to access and hear the Surround sound element of the set..but it's all good, at least he didn't pooh-pooh Surround he just said he didn't have a 5.1 Setup so it's all good 🙂 ah i can't wait!! hope we all get our sets sooner rather than later! 🤞🥳🍌💅🤣

As much as I would love to hear SWT's mixes, I just can't pull that purchase trigger.

In my mind, I have set a $35 USD price ceiling for this one. I thankfully already have the SACD and just can't help but place this release in the same price-to-value category as the current Tull & Marillion series.

Back in 2017, I bought the re-re-release of "Days of Future Passed - 50th DVD Audio" for $22.00. This one is huge price jump and an ambient live recording surround mixes really don't move my needle. I am sure SWT's mix of which is stellar but ....

Would love to get my ears on it but there is soooo much other stuff on pre-order right now (Pineapple Thief, Marillion, Ultravox, YES, Parsons, the SDE Series) and a few anticipated surround mixes (ABC, Who, & Tull) two of which will undoubtedly be trapped in a mega box.

Bummed that I am going to pass. FOMO be dammed!

I sadly have no control or say in how these projects are released. I think the labels sometimes have to see how things are received before committing to and manufacturing further format releases. Maybe at some point in the future....
Talking of some point in the future.....Camel.......Stephen........just asking for a friend!

Can you guys tell me how/where you are hearing this? Just clicking on it? Nothing doing for me. I'm signed in. Already bought the set from Amazon UK and looking forward! already have the SACD collection.
Yep, I just clicked on the imbedded Youtube link Stephen attached and it plays for me.

What I learned from that TOCCC unboxing is that there was a similar set for Lost Chord, 5 years ago.
How did I miss that?
If you are talking about Jakko's 5.1 mix, you aren't missing anything. It's the only MB release that I gave a 2 rating. It's a real charlatan of a 5.1. HOWEVER, the new stereo highres mix is fantastic. What the Surround Master does with this stereo remix puts it in the top 5 of "Sounds fantastic on the Surround Master" recordings.

EDIT: Let me add that I was contemplating making my own 5.1 from stems using DeMiX Pro, LALAL.AI etc, but the Surround Master does such a fantastic job with it that I don't consider making a homemade 5.1 worth the effort.

That's my thought on this. I'd love to have the new 5.1 mix but the box cost in the US is a bit over this retiree's head.

Sorry, Sal. The record companies are targeting people like me who are willing to spend this amount of coin on new multichannel mixes of The Moody Blues. (How about Gordon Lightfoot - you hearing me, Rhino?) But I won't spend $300 on yet another redux of DSOTM.

Lost Chord 2 ch sounds pretty good through Sony SQD-2020 synth & Marantz Vari Matrix, too. I have two Sansui's that are to be refurbished. Until then or better yet, when I buy a Surround Master, this all will need to suffice.

IMHO, some or even many synth modes are light years better than fake Quad or double stereo. Even matrix on my Denon.
