The TrueHD Atmos stream is copied so its identical to the disc which supports up to 9.1.6 lossless. If you don't have an Atmos decoder you'll get lossless 7.1 at playback

If you open one of the Batch tools you’ll see more than one radio button, then it’s obvious the dark button is the one selected. :)

When I first launched MMH I said I wasn’t going to accept donations, but 8 years on the cost to me to keep the files online and renew my licenses is hurting now I’m well into retirement. So thanks for our kind donation offer. I’ll PM you my PayPal email address. THX.
PM it to me, too. The MMH project has saved all of us hundreds of hours, and countless searches for the tools. It's time to get PAID!! :)

Has anyone run into an issue with converting mkv to m4a extracting the Dolby Atmos audio and some files not playing back on their device?

I tessted converting a few files that were giving me an issue to Wav instead of m4a and then they worked. I’m assuming that wav also preserves the Atmos channel layout and meta data? I was hoping not having to re-rip annd convert all the MKV discs!

Or am I better off using Mka?

My player is a zidoo UHD 8000.

Thank you.

I know I'm late to the party here but I use mmh a lot for mkv to m4a conversions and have NEVER had an issue with the resulting conversions (using Kodi for playback).

I'm in for offering support as well. Send me your PP address.

I am happy to donate as well - please send a PM to me.

I donated too. Garry's software is really useful, saves so much time, and going by the number of requests he gets for features and the amount of tweaks he has been doing its become a full time retirement job

Quad members who've used MMH:
Let's give Garry a nice Holiday thank you by donating to his paypal. I followed the @gorman lead (and a couple others now, yes). PM me, @gorman or @HomerJAU for his paypal addy.

Thanks to everyone who has donated or thinking of donating.

My plan is to use all the donations to renew my subscription for the DevExpress (3rd party) UI controls for another 12 months which will take MMH through to the release of .NET 10 in November 2025.

NET 10 is the next long term supported .NET version (supported until end of 2028). I will release a .NET 9 based version of MMH early next year (faster compiled code), then a .NET 10 based version in early 2026.

FYI: My subscription to Devexpress costs $500USD per year.
