I asked you the following when you posted this screen shot of your new pc, but you never replied:

If this is your new PC why are there all those old MMH versions referenced? Did you copy your old PC onto your new PC or do a backup then restore to new PC?

I will create an installer for MMH 9 beta 1 shortly. I’ll send you a link and try installing that. It won’t see the old MMH 8 version and won’t try to replace the MMH files it thinks you have.

@marpow

Please download MMH 9 beta 1 installer and try to run, it should solve your MMH 8 installer problem:

Unfortunately I did do a data swap from place of purchase.
Fingers crossed # 9 works.
I will wipe # 8 before installing #9

It does when it’s across PCs with different hardware.
Did he tell you he cloned the drive? I don't see his answer. I have never had issues cloning from Intel to another Intel. I usually just start from scratch. but a couple of days ago I cloned an N100 processor drive, 12 gen Intel, to a 7th gen Intel processor PC and it was smooth as butter. Win 11.

No. He copied the files.

Last time I tried to clone Windows it was a disaster. Never tried since. What cloning software did you use?

Macrium, the last free version which I think was 8, but I will check to make sure. I keep imagine backups of my C: drives. I didn't plan on using the image on my older PC, but it booted right up same as if I did a restart and it worked so well I didn't do a clean install. I had an extra SSD, with the image already on it.

Good info:
Here.

I had 8 year old Windows 10 and Best Buy Data swapped to Windows 11 2025.
I didn't do this when I swapped to Windows 10, I just reloaded things as I needed them with my own thumb drive from the other PC. Was easy. Not sure why I said OK to there free service this time, live and learn.
This has been difficult but I am chipping away.
Garry and I cloned Windows and Garry knows a thousand things more than me.
Because of our somewhat complicated systems, Fiber/Modem/Router, ethernet cable, switch's, network, software playing from other software, etc. The rabbit hole can be brutal and highly doubtful they can dig you out.
I understand Windows One Drive, but I don't like it.
I have 3 PC's on my Microsoft Account, two of them I use at home and work for working, the third is just the music only PC (remote access) that holds JRiver that I use to play my music.
What I hate about One Drive is that when an update gets, for example, done at work, it irritates the home PC, but I can figure things out.

I am going to load MMH 9 soon, after I catch up from work. Fingers crossed.

Big progress, with one hitch, can't update .Downloaded Net 30-9 and MMH 9. Good.

MMH 9 created a large folder on my C Drive Programs, many items. When I click yes on the popup Update Installer nothing happens.
Can't find the update installer? Almost there.

Good news Mark!!

There is no update for MMH 9 yet. Congratulations you found the first MMH 9 bug! I will fix today and repost. In the mean time carry on using it but ignore any notifications about an update and don’t try to update from your MMH 9 beta. Wait until I give you the go ahead to download the fix.

@marpow There's an updated MMH 9 beta so you don't get the bad notification of an update when none is avialable

Also: Minor changes to the new Report layouts and a fix for the occasional video file that had missing video codec info.

This was the problem on your new PC with MMH.

You should set OneDrive to only 'sync' non-system folders when you use it on multiple PCc, otherwise it causes those issues.

Just sync your documents folder are whatever folder you uses at home and at work, never your App folders, etc

I just checked the update and all good, I am at 9.0.0 Beta 1.

Split and Rename Concerts:
Unfortunately my rip-Ian Thomas-How We Roll was not on Musicbrainz, I typed in Rush-Moving Pictures instead and Musicbrainz worked fine.
I checked box JRiver and pop ups came and all is fine. Checked my folder and all tracks, noted and fine.

Still need to check the Extract Audio from MKV, not worried.

Do you recommend Load MKV Tags Slow ?

I did notice, with the Dark Skin, when I highlight to delete or change a name, the blue highlight color is hardly noticeable against the Black skin.

No need to show MKV tags for JRiver.

The highlight color is defined in Windows settings, MMH uses whatever you’ve set there.

I always set Windows to a dark theme. I find looking at a huge screen all day while coding is just glare, it gives me headaches.
