Just want to say thank you Mike for giving me the opportunity to do arrangements and orchestration for your music! I hadn't released any "band music" since 2011.. that was in my 2.0 era. Was time to wake that kitty! :kitty:

I had a blast working on Naomi, and creating a remix version of Skeletons Under Cover (for those who liked Massive Attack's Mezzanine, the remix might be right up your alley)

Also, big thanks to Fourplay for talking to me about singer/songwriter scoring.. I think this is what gave Mike the idea !

to everyone who dare to download these 5.1 surround tracks.. Happy 5.1 Banana Dance !!! :51banana:

So, here's a bit of a logistical update, for those interested:

For the past couple of months, or so, I've been working with ji eff on these mixes.

It started off just as an experiment to see how mixing my existing multis would go. That is going very well, so far as it goes.

However, the project has turned way more exciting than that. I have previously stated that I intend to improve or update anything that could sound better, within my means.
Well, ji eff adds to those means substantially.

For instance, I kicked him the multis for the song Naomi, letting him know I didn't really like the arrangement that much and he was free to muck about with it.
THE NEXT DAY he sends back the song, with only my voice, everything else new. It then took a couple of weeks to tweak and further augment the piece, but that is the kind of creativity and collaboration happening here.

In another instance, I kicked him the multis for Skeletons Under Cover. The next day I get a response like, "sorry I didn't do a normal mix, but here is a remix" and it was friggin fantastic.
He went on to do a tremendous "normal" mix too.

Besides the creativity, the mixes are sounding great. At least as good as the music deserves, but actually better, IMO. So, I'm a pretty happy camper about it. I can't wait to hear how the remaining songs turn out.

In the end, this project should include some straight-up mixes of my original stuff, some mixes augmented with ji eff's additions or replacements and some remixes, depending on what he gets inspired by.

The slated songs are:

Disturbing the Universe
Illusions
Your Religion
Prince of Peace
Like Rain
Naomi
Ecstasy & Agony
Break You
Skeletons Under Cover
Open Up the Door
Fight for Your Love
3 Sexes

If you'd like anything else included, please let me know. Here is the candidate list:

Quite a few downloads of Bleed, but no response. Anybody game to chime in? We think we done pretty good, but it's always great to get QQ feedback!
We're roughly 1/2 to 1/3 through the project. Just depends on momentum and how well some tracks work out. Occasional feedback is a very encouraging thing.
Thanks, QQ! (y) :music

Hello folks! Sorry for the long delay with this project.
We've had some health and family issues and I've been away in the military quite a bit.
I would say we're getting close to completing the project. Not sure how it will be released.
I'm open to ideas!

This song is very special to me. It is part 3 of a trilogy, all of which will appear on the album.
Each song was written several years apart. They all share musical and lyrical themes, to some extent,
and it is interesting, to me, to hear the growth and progression in both regards.

Also, that lady you hear is about to give birth to my first child! It's a boy!

Thanks, again, to ji eff for the wonderful mix work. He also arranged the horns!
