My old computer finally died so I'm in the process of looking for a new one. I would be interested in ripping all of my sacds and dvd audios. What requirements are necessary to do that? I already have a few oppos, but I'm not sure of the process. Can I get away with purchasing a tablet? Any insight would be very helpful. Thanks!

A PC is necessary.
The video and article are pretty explanatory.
Take some time and go for it!

I ripped most of my DVD-A discs with DVDFab. (decrypted .iso) Whether or not it still has that capability I can't say.
Foobar with the foo_input_dvda component will rip to files, not sure about .iso.

For SACD ripping I have an Oppo BDP-103 and a Sony BDP-S590, but I use a different variant of sacd_extract for each as recommended by Mikey on the HiFi Haven site.
I also use the SACDExtract GUI.
