Well, bearing in mind that Esoteric Recordings is none other than the former Eclectic Discs which released this album in 5.1 in 2004 (SACD), this leads me to believe that Blu-ray contains the same mix made by Mark Powell & Paschal Byrne back in the day. I don't know how that mix stands to todays standards of 5.1 mixes.
Unless I'm not understanding what you're implying, the product description clearly says a new 5.1 mix, so it's not the 2004 mix. (y)

Not mentioning the engineer in the product description seems very strange. I mean, If the engineer has a good reputation in Surround Sound, citing him would be a good way to sell the product to this niche audience that cares about these things. The lack of more details leaves the consumer in the dark

Many times companies sell a product as new, but it's just an old thing that didn't sell very well in a limited format. I remember they recently sold Toto IV 5.1 as a brand new thing in a big box set, but it was actually an old Elliot Scheiner mix previously released on SACD only.

Oh yeah, not mentioning who is behind the surround mix blows. I went back to Cherry Records and noticed with the recent Barclay James Harvest, they did clearly state @Stephen W Tayler did the mix, so I suppose it's not him on this particular Nektar release. :(

I just saw on FB that Stephen W Taylor stated he didn't do the surround mix. Sure wish it was him.

But the '2004 mix' is clearly just a quad mix with addition of low level, derived center and LFE. Indicating it's the old quad mix , slightly tarted up. So, even back then it wasn't up to the standards of a 'new' 5.1 mix, i.e., it wasn't really new.

True. But I thought Fast was trying get the multitapes for Recycled & Tab to remix. Plus, doesn't he live in Jersey where the band in now based?

I asked who did the remix and that's the name they gave feel free to ask them.
Nice. Thanks.
Well, Ben Wiseman did 5.1 for Renaissance - Turn Of The Cards and i think very few people liked it.

Definitely not a "go-to" guy for Surround Mixes. His name is not even mentioned in the product description. Hopefully he surprise us in a very positive way.

Just for a FYI I asked Cherry Red if this will be available for pre-order in the US and this was there response.

This will be available to pre-order from US retailers.

It will cost £13 standard and £17 tracked to ship to the US.
Thats not bad for many 1000s of miles, its cost me £10 to ship tracked in the UK - a journey of less than 150miles!
