"Cecilia" by Sweet Henry. A cover of the Simon and Garfunkel song. On CKRC both versions were played over the same time period and shared the same chart position. I didn't notice any difference between the two at that time, but they do sound noticeably different to me now. I can find no information about the group. I think I remember that they were from Sweden but the record was also listed in a separate top 5 Canadian hit section of the chart as well, big mystery.

Second Helping - We're Dancing (Til It Blows Over)
Michel Pagliaro was hardly a one hit wonder (Canada at least), but this was the only hit as "Second Helping" a cool name for a band IMHO. He had many, many french language hits in Quebec. In english Canada he was simply referred to as "Pagliaro". I have a CD compilation of his english hits but it omits this track. I'm Including it here as it was the only "Second Helping" hit. The sound is better on this you tube link, the Canadian version posted sounds too bassy. Looks like it was released in the UK in 1972, released in Canada in 1970.

Once upon a time AGES ago I heard a song on FM radio in the car. I am sure the DJ got yapped at.

I didn't catch the group. But the song was;

"Hit Me! with your rhythm stick! Hit me Hit me Hit me!!"

It was hilarious.

Through the miracle of youtube I have discovered that it was from Ian Drury and the Blockheads. Whom I guess were more than one hit wonders.

Of course you never heard of them on regular FM radio here. Maybe some underground stations or shows that I didn't listen to.

Surprised this wasn't an album track, just a single & "best of..." comps, well worth checking his other tracks, here's a starter:

From other threads I couldn't believe that so many people had never heard of "Bloodrock". They were very popular in the early seventies and actually had a number of singles, and a number of excellent albums. The only one that really charted big was DOA, so I guess that makes them a one hit wonder.

Oh Bloodrock. Girlfriend Margie. Chevy Camaro convertable. Dive into front yard. Green grass then blue sky. She hit her head hard Then the 8 track sirens began. Stopped at random VW guy house who splashed snow on her head. Everything 0k never heard Bloodrock again.

A tender love ballad!!!!!!
