Hi All,
Based on this very helpful thread from Fredblue:
https://www.quadraphonicquad.com/fo...music-releases&p=303724&viewfull=1#post303724
I have found the music of Open Circle Party. They are a duo from Melbourne, Australia whose music can be found here:
https://opencircleparty.bandcamp.com/album/open-circle-party-51-surround-sound-dts-cd
They are:
Chris Basile - guitars, bass [2], tabla, darabuka, kalimba, qraqib, suling, percussion, tapes
Garry Havrillay - keyboards, bass [1], samples, drum box, programming, nylon guitar [1], tapes
and they characterize themselves as "Original Australian dance/trance/dub/space music."
Well I have tried and I LOVE this! I am here to say the sound is very cool if you like this style, and the mix is active and discrete! For those of you who like Diatonis, some of it is like that although there is much more percussion. It has a very jammy feel (jam band improvisation), and is just delightful. No vocals, no lyrics. Just music and sound.
I endorse this disc (Surrounded) and would recommend checking a sample on their Bandcamp site. If you like the sample, you cannot go wrong with the mix.
Happy listening!
