Another question for the Oppo experts:

If I plug an Amazon 4K Fire Stick in the back USB port of my BDP-103, will I be able to stream Atmos mixes from Amazon Music through my system?
If the 4K Fire Stick outputs a lossy Dolby Digital+ (not Dolby MAT) audio stream, it might be possible. Personally I don't have an Atmos AVR or soundbar to check...

Agreed... My brother-in-law does this now!
I'm assuming the original poster had some reason for wanting to plug it into his Oppo HDMI input. In my case it's so I can stream 4K SDR with the Apple TV 4K and have my Oppo 203 downscale it for display on my 1080p TV. This gives considerably better audio and video quality since the 4K streams have higher bit rate audio and video than the 1080p streams.

Will the firestick signal play through the receiver without the receiver being on if it's a newer receiver?
Not when the receiver is Off surely? Some can in Standby assuming the feature works. My Arcam AVR31 has an HDMI bypass feature that can be enabled in Standby but I've never used it.

There shuldo be a "HDMI Passthrough" option on the AVR that can be set to the HDMI input of choice. There may need to be a setting on the TV itself to be modified.

I can select which input HDMI port for passthrough on the AVR, but only one at a time. It will pass whatever comes through it.
Never plugged a firestick into this AVR as i don't need it. We have one on the main TV, used to be plugged into an AVR at one time.
But it all passes over the WiFi.

If one buys a used oppo and you send it to oppo just to have it gone through or like a check up?

I can't say for sure, but I think they do repairs and not so much check ups from other posts I've read over the years, but worth a try I guess. Go for it.
BTW it's not really Oppo doing repairs, the service just has good techs and access to Oppo parts.
