I seem to recall some others in the past wanting players "checked out" and they essentially said without anything wrong, how do you know?
In all these years I've only had one Oppo in their shop, because playback was skipping. They replaced the optical drive and a decoder chip.

I had another Oppo start skipping and all I did was clean the laser lens and it's been trouble free since.

If one buys a used oppo and you send it to oppo just to have it gone through or like a check up?

They have a fixed rate, depending on the model, no matter what you have done to it.

That is true. I still think they don't do "tuneups" without an existing problem. Prove me wrong and I will acquiesce. Only way is try....
but this is the internet and what I say is not remarkable.

In my case, they had to replace the power supply. I thought I got off cheap, considering what that should have cost.
