Believe it or not, I knew about Paul Di'Anno before I knew about Bruce Dickinson as I purchased their debut album on a flyer from a local record store in Normal, Illinois way back in the day.
Of course, Paul sang lead on first LP, Iron Maiden and their 2nd LP, Killers. Both great albums with superb vocals IMO.

RIP Paul, you brought me Maiden when I hadn't heard of you at all!

"Strange World" sounding here at the moment, loud and proud (no neighbours!). Still gives me goosebumps... an unique song in their discography, and Paul's best melodic performance.

Hell yeah.. first time I ever listened to the Maidens was with him at the helm.... that's OK, I just became aware why most Western "Religions" make such a stink regarding death... we all become ONE! (can we say ...."GOD"??????) that is why I am embracing Buddhism!---peace of mind!
