1K Club - QQ Shooting Star
This is my third purchase of the series and so far my least favorite but still it is highly recommendable.
If early Genesis - melodic prog is your thing, I can't see why you wouldn't enjoy this release.
You really get the sense that it is a link album between the renaissance sound of "Geese" and the more solo Gabriel sounding "Sides".
The surround mix is excellent but the fidelity does not seem as crisp as the other releases. The vocals seem thin, shrill and at other times mumbled. This one does sound dated to my ears.
My appreciation of the songs tends to grow as the album plays deeper. Favorite track is Paperchase.
Content: 2.5/3 - The vocals and lyrics throw it off for me both in delivery and recording.
Surround Mix: 3/3 -Another great job by the Heyworth's
Fidelity: 1.5/3 - As mentioned, the vocals seem off.
Misc: 1/1 - A good value for the price but again as with the other releases in this series, it would have been nice to get the extra songs and instrumental cuts in surround.
