You have to be patient living in the land down under . . . I ordered the 50th box set from a dedicated dealer in another state of Oz. I want to support the specialist retailers. However, there is a cost for my well-meaning gestures. My retailer still hasn't received their shipment. I could drive 10 mins to a local big-box store where they have plenty in stock. Could have been listening to it over the past few days. Whaaaaa . . .

That was a great read, thanks. In the comments below this article, ted_b provides an insight into the streaming vs physical experience. If you're undecided on purchasing and were a little underwhelmed by the Apple stream . . . take a look at this.

As a long time member of QQ, I don't debate, just tell my experience.
I purchased the 50th Pink Floyd box set, it arrived today.
Biggest, heaviest box set ever, wow man.
I can't even open it yet as I am digging, very much the Ten Years After- Atmos- Blu Ray, wow, just excellent.
Plenty of time for Pink Floyd later.View attachment 89969
I'll be right over. What kind of beer do you like? ;)

My package has been stuck in Fife for a few days.

Fife is apparently a Scottish word for “postal black hole” and every time I see one of my packages in Fife (there have been many), my spirit drops dramatically.

Amazon should just start putting a note after items with a possible delivery of “Tomorrow” with “... unless it has to go through Fife. In which case you’ll get it when you get it... but not tomorrow.”

I've got a doomed nearby hub, too. Hopefully it arrives soon.

T.O.M.B.S. are alive and well apparently-

and just when I was relenting and decided to pull the trigger (only ‘cause my Amazon points would cover the cost; hey I’d already gotten an Immersion blood bath on me wallet!) the bloody thing is no longer available!
can’t win for losing, which bum is Pink now? 😬
Excuse me asking, but how do you get Amazon pts?? I’m been purchasing 1000’s of $ for years through Amazon.au without any knowledge of loyalty pts!!

Here in the US you may get 5% cash back on select purchases when using their Visa credit card (100 points equals $1 & points never expires.) IDK, may also depend on one’s credit history; I’d recommend calling them for info for your particular country and personal availability.

Ripping DSOTM now with MKV. A little complicated.
DVD-OK forget it.
Blu Ray I- 5.1 Surround, 24/192 Uncompressed Stereo and dts-HD MA stereo, seems simple enough.
Blu Ray II-Atmos, 24/192 Uncompressed Stereo and dts-HD MA stereo. Not sure why they put the same stereos on both Blu Rays, I guess for ease of listening.
Below is a picture of my rip schedule. I figure the bottom 10 chapter TRU HD is the actual album Atmos?
The middle 12 chapter 3 X TRU HD has me confused as there are three TRU-HD's. Well I ripped all as you can see by my checks, I'll let you know what I discover. It is a gapless album so in the case of myself, I will definitely keep the root folder for JRiver, but I will use MMH now and see what I come up with.
The onscreen opening menu has very cool music and I want to capture that also.
