... However, I immediately noticed that it sounded much louder than the others I mentioned and had slightly less detail to my ears. I was suspicious of compression, and I guess it is confirmed (although I don't really know how to interpret those wave forms!) ...

I don't have/need a sub, so I have never noticed the "phase" issue. Really liked this album for a long time. 10/10 from me..I'm surprised to see that 68 members have given 10/10 for this release!
It's been confirmed on other forums that the center and LFE channels have a phase problem - it's inverted - which affects the low end of this surround mix.

By the way, this mix is seriously good and I also love it, regardless of the phase problem.
Hopefully it will soon be soon released a corrected version.
