The Ugoos is already set up with the Aeon Nox skin with Artist Slideshow but not the level of detail (like lyrics) as the QQ Nuc
If you go into the settings and enable the lyrics addon (kodi will download and install it, if it's not already) then it will search online for lyrics for any track it doesn't already have them for. Those are then saved locally so the lookup is virtually instantaneous the next time.

I didnt know it saved them. Where does it save them MrBurns? Ive seen where tagscanner can include them in a tag.

Got my unit yesterday, still waiting on the power supply (something is coming today, but I don’t really know what it it). Cute little thing - I have already figured out where in the shelves it will go.

And then the learning curve… I still don’t know for sure what it does (although I have an idea).

I should have ordered two then I could wear them as earrings.
Cute little thing
I never thought of them as a fashon statement. ;)

In spite of thier size, rhey are fairly powerful PCs. Significantly better than the laptop i used to transfer Garry's kodi image onto thier SSDs. There are certainly more powerful CPUs than the i3 8th gen processors in these NUCs, but even if they were i7s the box would still be the same size. They are equipped quite well with USB 3.0, thunderbolt/ USB C port, HDMI 2.1.

I’m pretty well filled up with general-purpose computers at the moment - one Windows tower, one windows laptop, one Linux Ubuntu tower, and one Mac mini, so I probably won’t be fiddling with a NUC myself other than my new shiny AV toy. Not to mention that another project isn’t something I’m looking for. The ones I already have seem to keep growing faster than I can clear them out, but it looks as intriguing as a new raspberry pi.

I havent used a tower in my home in 15 years. Unless you need to fill it with HDDs for storage or need a super large monitor there is no reason. I have a NAS to take care of all that storage now. You can get laptops now that easily compete with most tower designs with respect to performance. I did use a small tower for work before i retired, but that was just because i did a lot with solidworks and needed the 2 big monitors. Those days are gone for me.
