I have had a AT15s for decades and over that time bought several needles for it. I never threw away old needles just saved them. This has worked out because I bought a AT14s and recently a JVC quad cart on EBay.
Both had damaged stylus but looking at the old needles I found Audio Technica needles have a removable
stylus, though I'm sure they did not intend what I've done.
The AT14 and JVC stiill had their neddles with damaged stylus. There is a small barrel with white seal on the underside of needle mount. If you pick at the white seal it reveals a tiny screw that keeps stylus assembly
intact. It happens the old AT15 needles use nearly the same stylus and I removed the stylus assemblies
from old needles and replaced them in the AT14 and Jvc needles. Oddly they sound very good whiile they sounded marginal in the AT15 cart. Of course it is slightly challenging to work with small items, even with
magnifying glasses, but was well worth the effort.

Yes. My at15s was always marginal for cd-4 so was surprised that even they were old needles
they gave better preformance in the at14sa and JVC than they did in the AT15s.

one additiional note is, when inserting stylus assembly in the mounts there is a round foam
spacer. It serves to kinda pre-load tension so the stylus has some support and cartridge doesn't
kiss or drag the record.
when inserting stylus before tightening screw, make sure the magnets are faciing correctly
and at the 45/90 degree set and to get proper tension, use a smallerfirm wire sleeve
apply moderate pressure as you are tightening the screw. It might take a few trys to get
it right but if careful no harm.
I'll put pictures when I take them
