Witch Queen has at least two different stereo mixes: the original 2ch LP/CD and the vastly different alternate mix/take on Rock Artifacts, which was first released on that collection.

Yes, Beaded Dreams was what is referred to in the record business as a stiff. Excepting compilations, it was their last LP for CBS.

It's too bad "(We were all) Wounded at Wounded Knee" never made it to an album as that would have been a killer track in Quad. It's densely instrumented and has a killer beat too. Not sure if Pete DePoe drummed on that one but still, killer track. Don't understand how CBS thought it was "inappropriate" as the message of the song is left open to interpretation.

To their credit, Columbia did issue it (I have the DJ 45) although with not much enthusiasm, conciliatory message or not. At the time the event was a hot topic, too hot for a rock single to get much action on a subject like that, and it was pretty much ignored by radio (and therefore, the public). Ironically, because Watergate and government corruption was such a hot topic itself, it tended to obscure this story, which probably confused some people anyway as to why it was going on at all. Strange days...
