A bit early I know . However I noticed the lukewarm response to batch 7.
Although I will be buying 3 out of 4 of those titles. (-Spinners)

And I think I might know one of the next Quadio titles , from a hint I noticed on one of the prior posts to 7.

If I'm wrong no harm done.

Next batch may be eclectic or electronic titles focus.

With 'Beaver And Krause - Gandharva/All Good Men"

Now let the speculation begin.........

And in the same vein ;

Robert Mason - Stardrive

and perhaps from Finnadar :
There are 3 all told

Wiretap -Eric Salzman (Quog Music)
Wound - George Flynn/John Cage
Milton Babbitt - Ensemble For Synthesizer (plus others)

It is a bit early. Hasn’t even been a week yet. Just remember, based upon what we’ve all experienced in the past, enough of us need to support something from #7 in order for there to be a #8. Just as with other titles released in the past.

Also, there’s a certain finite amount of titles that were released. And of those, getting the rights is also another matter. Of course we all have our want lists, and this is good. Hopefully, tapes still exist. But, the question is, what is able to get released. It certainly makes sense to let Rhino know what we want.

Lukewarm? I didn't think the response was that at all. Plus, in my experience, it was much more interesting than the 6th batch.

Well maybe not so much as lukewarm , as all in , but I did notice some negative
responses.
I just went back 15 pages and 2 were adamant no's , a couple were in for a couple titles , hopefully.
You notice this after the clues start coming together.

Right from the start , I guessed Curtis Mayfield Roots , and a maybe for Billy Cobham Spectrum, because it was black history month. Spectrum is one I was hoping for , as were others .

But the good news was that those that expressed some possibility of the four , stuck with it, until the final clue.

It’s alright @fizzywiggs41 Yes, if you look at just about any Batch or release of Quad/Surround stuff, you will find those who are into different types of music, and a certain title might not be there. Of course a few might be disappointed. And a title that they wanted, regardless of genre, might never happen. That’s understandable. It was disappointing when Audio Fidelity stopped producing titles on SACD.

But, I wouldn’t necessarily look at any particular thread as the be all final say. Only perhaps, a rough survey from those who chose to post.

What we don’t hear about is all the people who had no problem ordering. Perfectly happy with what was made available and look forward with hope. Others are maybe strategic in how they buy, and put together bundles for their own tastes, because they’re familiar with the titles. Others may not have ever heard of a certain title, and are just now familiarizing themselves with the music. Some people would like to wait for the Polls to better inform their choices. Some might be waiting for a sale or discount code and are planning for a small or big order. Some may be busy and not able to focus on their hobby. I know many are here who buy titles, but prefer to read the comments and not post. And whatever one's thing is, or is not, that’s valid and perfectly fine. Probably many are catching up with the holiday’s bills and will buy something later. Some might be simply dealing with everyday life. A lot of people come to just relax and chill.

Finally, many folks might not even be aware that Batch #7 was just released. So, no worries. Everything works out in the end.

What gets me is that they consistently put out these albums of the week and you would think that they would convert these recordings to QUADIO. Really disappointing.

Well put and thoughtful as well. As a 57 year old lifelong music fan AND audiophile, I have bought every single Rhino QUADIO bundle as I have 1) been extremely happy with most of if not all of the titles released including those that I had not previously heard in stereo let alone Quad 2) been blown away a couple times by some of the titles that I would have NEVER listened to 10 years ago, 30 years ago let alone 50 years ago and 3) I only buy physical product (I do NOT stream) so if I want to hear albums that I like/love or have enjoyed the diversity of a series and want to hear "new" music in Quad/immersive/surround, I buy it. I am NO homer but to me, the music and releases that Rhino has been giving us and the physical music consumer is as close as I can get to walking into a Record Factory or Tower Records in the 1970's and encountering new sounds that I would NEVER have heard on the top 40 AM radio or AOR FM stereo stations in Sacramento, California.

Now, on an even more personal note, my love for all things hi-fi began with our next door neighbor who was a pilot for Pan Am and his route was from Los Angeles (LAX) to Hong Kong. We lived in Mission Viejo, CA until the end of 1973 so I watched him bring back literally an entire wall full of hi-fi equipment (Pioneer, Sansui, etc) including QUAD. He let me play with the system when my parents and Russ and Patti would play cards and drink. I have been "hooked" ever since. I am sure many of us hobbyists/music lovers have similar stories. They say "you can NEVER go back". Well, Rhino and their QUADIO series gets me "back" closer than I ever thought possible. I am grateful beyond measure!
