84. I don't have any of his classic 70s (or 60s) albums, but I'll be pulling out my copy of Fela and Roy Ayers before bed tonight.

I confess that I don't either although I'm familiar with some of his output (thanks to YouTube.) His song Everybody Loves the Sunshine is such a cool song IMO, one of those "seasonal songs" that gets you in the mood for the weather and everything else associated with the season(s) that you most associate the lyrics with. In the case of this song, (for me at least) I think fondly of spring and summer because of its lyrics, but even its relaxed tempo conjures mental images of a lazy, warm afternoon. But yes, I was sorry to hear of Mr. Ayers' passing - he definitely left his mark on the jazz/funk/soul music world.
