I'm frustrated beyond belief with my QRX-9001. The phono section is a mess. Sometimes records play okay and sometimes they don't. It's been that way since I bought it from the QRX Restore. I even shipped it back once because of the issue and they said everything was fine. I know it wasn't. The next time, he had me take apart the unit and ship some parts from the phono CD-4 section. Again, "nothing wrong."
In any case, I bought all new audio furniture and, after moving things around, whatever the intermittent issue with the phono section now seems to be permanent. The front channels appear dead.
Does anyone know of anyone that works on these besides the QRX Restore? I wasn't happy with them, not only with the service but they have zero communication skills. I don't really trust my local repair shop to mess with the CD-4 section of this quad monster. And I think I read that Dave from Chicago Audio has retired and doesn't work on them anymore. I could be wrong.
Any direction or suggestions would be very helpful! Thanks!
