Well one sad photo that I once had was a camera view from the stage pointing to the audience at Woodstock 1969. Not sure what happened to that, I really loved that photo, anyway, the thing that is mind blowing noticeable is the entire audience is very obvious not hopped up on bad food, it was still before corporations decided they wanted to kill us with food. Not one obese person in 500,000 persons.
And here I am right now drinking and eating corn nuts at 64, trying to make it to 84, but sometimes feels impossible. I have hit the pavement so many times there gonna dig me up in an ice patch some day and say, what the fuck happened to this guy.

I just love your quad 8 storage. Can you give us more deets like did you make or find it? Was it something else in a past life? Thanks in advance from the guy with shoe boxes of random quad 8s.
The rectangular unit with all the Columbia Q8's was from eBay - I searched something basic like "8-track storage" and happened across it. It's from the "Napa Valley Box Company". There's actually one just like it listed right now. The other unit with the Jethro Tull book sets was found at a Goodwill store (I think it was originally meant for plain jewel cases?), but I added the moldings and extra piece on the side that holds the RCA Q8's.

My father and I hand-built the cabinet with the reel-to-reel deck about a month ago. I'd never owned or really seen an R2R unit up-close before, so as we progressed I kept thinking "there's no way it's actually this big, the dimensions we found online must be wrong" - but when the actual thing arrived it almost didn't fit! The pictures don't really do it justice.

OK Here is my collection of stuff, If I die they probably will be given as boat anchors! OMG, I need more stuff, DUH... Be Safe and Enjoy the Music!

😲 Good gracious man, don't let it fall to the trash heap - write me into your will immediately; I'll gladly accept any and all of that nasty electronic gear. 😇

Seriously though, you guys with tube/mono block type amps make me real curious. I've never heard recorded audio through those; but I have some experience with guitar amps. I have played many tube guitar amps (Marshall, Peavey, Fender, Mesa Boogie etc.) and compared to solid state amps they are much warmer and natural sounding.

thank you !! Gear - Classe Omega Mono x 4, Classe CA-M600 for front. B&W 802D for front, the center is a B&W diamond rhino. Cant remember model, they discontinued it fairly quick. Prolly cuz its BIG. 803D on rears with Sound Anchors. The processor is Classe SSP-60. Its fully balanced plus 5.1 ANALOG. Love me 5.1 analog. Denon DBP-A100 for universal disc player ( had Denon 5910 ...loved it but it did not do Blu ). Yes, it has 5.1 analog output. Classe CDP-10 for cd's. A big fat 100 lb Furman to make everyone behave and enough money on cables to make Bill Low a rich man .
Good gawd almighty - that must be what heaven looks and sounds like!

Like everything in music its all in the quality of the source, IMHO old Vinyl is still the best, if you collect vinyl to try and get the pressing from the UK, Japan they always seemed to have the best sound especially over US records... Tube is as analog as you can get, I listened to a buddies new 18-watt tube stereo amp and was blown away on the clarity, but you know that if you play with any tubed amplifiers, Rock on! Stay Safe
