I wiped the disc down with a microfiber cloth and now it's ripping! Looked like it had some sort of residue on it, and I only handle by the edges, so....
All good! Thanks for the suggestions!

I suspect the latest Mac OS upgrade is the culprit.Hi All, it has been a while since I ripped a sacd using sacdextractgui. It has worked all the way up until today. I ping the port and it is accessible, but i continue to get the following "error" mesage during ripping, with no ISO generated.
libsacdread: Can't open 192.168.68.83:2002 for reading
Any help would be appreciated

@SACD_ripper do you know of any alternative apps for MacOS that work like sacdextractgui? thanksThis is the problem.
It is, and no indication as to exactly why or how to fix. A Java fix has already been pushed, however that doesn't seem to resolve this so I'm guessing there is some sort of new Apple top secret permissions thing preventing the use of an unsigned application.

Hello, I would like to know if the process for ripping a SACD using a Sony 5100 is it still current?
Wow, good question. I haven't had to rip a SACD in my 5100 in a long time.Hello, I would like to know if the process for ripping a SACD using a Sony 5100 is it still current?
I'am using VM with Windows 11 .Nothing has changed with regard to S5100 compatibility or the actual steps in the process, however depending on which computer operating system you use there can be differences with the setup, and currently macOS 14.4+ is completely broken.
Still working for me.Hello, I would like to know if the process for ripping a SACD using a Sony 5100 is it still current?
Ok thanks . What is the firmware version ?Still working for me.
Same exact error and issue for me, just encountered for the first time and a real kick in the beans. Running a 2023 Mac Studio on Sonoma 14.4.1. Luckily I didn't pitch my old iMac when I upgraded, but what an annoying thing to have to do to make this work. If/when there's ever a solution, I'm sure we'll all keep one another updated here. I just picked up a Sony BDP-BX510 and will attempt to try ripping. I've been using a BDP-S870 for the last 12 yrs to playback SACD-R's. Picked it up on the FleaBay for 25 and it still had its remote. The guy was 20 miles from me as well.
