ALL SACDs are DSD64, period. They may, however, be derived from DSD256. I think that that was also the case with “Lotus” by Santana.

Really? I thought that was common knowledge. Higher rates of DSD postdate SACD by many years, and the standard was never changed to allow them on disc.

Hey, $30 ... the same list price as the Audio Fidelity SACD and QUAD [DSD 256] remastered from I would imagine the original Columbia analogue masters!

Quad SACD simply means that although technically the SACD may have 5.1 channels, that its from a quadraphonic source and only has four active channels! It has nothing to do with DSD higher rates like DSD256!

Well noticed. Actually Piano Man set number is SICP 10151~4.

Interesting that Piano Man's catalog number SICP 10151~4 suggests that it was originally going to be 4 discs instead of 3, I wonder what got dropped, maybe more of the GAMH live tracks perhaps?

Just as a side note, I don't think there's a poll thread for the Borboletta SACD...

SICP 10156 is Laura Nyro's "Eli..."

I guess my hope that unreleased quad mixes of New York Tendaberry and Gonna Take A Miracle would soon turn up on SACD 7" sets is not to be. I came across an email from CD Japan in an email box I don't use much anymore. It lists "limited edition" pressings of those two albums along with Billy Joel's Cold Spring Harbor and Poco's A Good Feelin' To Know, all set for March 12. But no mention of them being 'multi-channel'.
