Sony UBP 800M2 - End of Life?

Does anyone know whether Sony hast stopped production of this player? At least in Europe there is barely stock at dealers and for remaining players prices are rocketing even for used or refurbished ones!

yes recently i indeed opened a thread about it....they still sell us discs, but where do i play them? in the microwave?

I see that a big Norwegian retailer have +100 in stock, so still available here. I've had mine for years for watching UHD movies and as backup for my Oppo 105. Long may they live.

I read your thread but the Sony was still available everywhere at the time.

Don't think they ship abroad, the retailer is called Elkjøp.

i think i read Sony just announced a new model, but apparently with less features (?), like no WIFI or something
