Jazz Odyssey in “Double-Quadraphonic-Atmos” would be such a Spinal Tap thing to do.

I always thought “None More Black” would be a great name for a band. But I’m sure someone’s already thought of it.
I saw them play at the yearly San Antonio outdoor concert event, La Semana Alegre (The Happy Week), back in the early 90s. Half the crowd didn't get that they were a parody band and started throwing beer cups at them.
At rhe start of Return of Spinal Tap there is a black screen.
One of them says, "It's kind of a pastel black"

I know, but it's predictable if you knew my taste. I'm not a fan of satire. Assuming that's what ST is.
No. It's parody.
Parody and satire are often confused, but the two have distinct differences. Parody is a comedic imitation of a specific work, style, or author with the intention of humor and entertainment. It exaggerates or mimics the subject to achieve a comedic effect. Satire, on the other hand, uses humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.
And damn fine hilarious parody at that. Until @privateuniverse post I didn't know there was a second movie. If it's only 1/2 as good as the original it will be a winner for me.
Which proves I don't know or like either genre. Oh well.
