Apparently there are two different SW official stores, one for US and one for Global, each with its own allocation of stock.

My God I almost had another aneurysm when I clicked on the SW store to see that the Deluxe set was already SOLD OUT not less than 24 hours after getting the email here in the states. Was able to order from The Shed, but Jesus. Haven't ordered from them in a while so it feels good giving them my money, but why can't SW/The Suits use the same "pre-order window" model that SDE uses??

The blu-ray in the deluxe is different to the standalone version since it adds The Alterview in hi-res stereo (only) and ‘Orchestral Objects’ in 5.1 and Atmos.

It wouldn't be an SW release if he didn't figure out a way to screw his fans over by gate keeping. Maybe the next album he will only include the drums on the album if you pay $10 more.

Yes, I bought the deluxe for the extras on the bda, haha. Otherwise I would have gone the stand alone route.

Now, in my access to 'European' Store Steven Wilson, the Boxset just 3-Dics, appears also as 'Sold Out' (was still available yesterday after I pre-ordered mine).

I hope that the disc actually has two tracks, like Close to the Edge. With the Apple Music app, I can't get gapless playback to wok. These songs look like they will be the kind where gapless will make a difference when listening to the whole album.

I'm a huge fan of Steven Wilson and everything he does, but I refuse to pay more than €100 for 2 CDs and 1 Blu-ray. I hope the deluxe edition is sold on other platforms at a reasonable price, otherwise I'll go for the Blu-ray.

Never been much of a fan, luckily, as I would be very annoyed and frustrated by this sales tactic, which is plain bad form.

"There is no way of knowing what the music will be like; you can buy the first 60 mins of music for €15, but you will have to pay an additional €60 for another 60 mins of music (and all kind of tat you don't care for), and you have to decide NOW as the big set will sell out within 24 hours. And you can only buy it through my website and selected outlets so if you are outside the UK you have to pay through the teeth for p&p and Customs Clearance."
