About a real person, Jack Wilson (English Name) and the Spirit Dance

I thought I'd combine my music buying and audio system buying with my increasing interest in Quad sound (starting in mid-1971).

I bought my first record [45] (Rain Dance - Guess Who) in 1971-07:

I picked up a few Pioneer Quad equipment brochures (QA-800, which provided the inspiration for me to build a decoder in 1983 using the Quadralizer equations) in mid-1971 at the CMC Stereo store on Noland Rd:

During a visit to the Omaha NE area in 1972-06, I bought my first LP (Three Dog Night - Harmony):

and my first (of several) 4 channel/quad special magazines (see attachment):

I bought my stereo (sadly, not quad) system in 1972-10 and 1972-12 (Sony amp, PE turntable, Shure cart, Smaller Advent speakers).

I special ordered the first RCA Quadradisc in 1973-02 (and received it a few days later):

I waited many months after its release to finally buy Blood, Sweat & Tears - New Blood hoping Columbia records would release an SQ encoded quad version, but they never did:

50 years ago this week: Dr. John ~ Desitively Bonnaroo
Wore the LP out on vinyl, had to buy a second copy, then the CD, now streaming.

Follow-up to In The Right Place triple-gatefold.
Recorded with Allen Toussaint and The Meters in New Orleans.

Precursor to the fantastic LaBelle Nightbirds Audio Fidelity Quad SACD with the same musicians, as well as Phoenix, which streams in quad.
