In relation to what I was posting on the Listening in Surround Volume 2 thread, Cornelius fans may want to know that he's actually had a digital-exclusive 5.1 soundtrack that released in 2015. Unfortunately if you don't have a Japanese credit card, you can't buy the download.

It's entirely animated, but has the original music and sequence of events (but with anime characters).

I've got this one on SACD, as well as Sinske's previous album. I think they get overlooked because they're often miscategorized as classical but it's brilliant marimba/electronica fusion.

I've never heard of Sinske until now. It was perfect to listen to having a late breakfast. Thanks!

All three of his SACD's are in a similar fusion vein, all produced by Jazztronik.

Sinske - Infinity (SIGP-39)
Sinske - Self Exposure (SICP-10009)
Sinske - That's Marimba (SICC-10039)

His first album (Infinity) is his masterpiece IMO.

It was 20 years ago yesterday that BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad eps 1 premiered in Japan. It rocks. Pretty much about aspiring Japanese musicians who pursue their dreams of making it big as a band in the USA. It still seems fresh & exciting today. I just might have to watch it again.

The song is Hit in the USA by the Beat Crusaders. I have a few of their CD's & it is most all straight forward power pop/ rock. Good stuff.
