@JohnN - Great commercial there! Have always loved that one!
We'll give you Lake Superior but GB has dibs on changing Lake Michigans' name!

Very well said!....
..What no one is talking about is the Taylor Swift factor🙁? Every time the networks cut away to her, I'm sickened😝

@Sonik Wiz ...'Take the win!'..as a famous clown said in the recent past!
I can definitely relate to the fatigue, but there a simple reason that the networks cut away to Swift as often as they do, it's ratings...which of course translates into revenue for the networks and more importantly for the NFL. Sunday's Bills / Chiefs matchup scored massive ratings (57.4 million viewers) and was the most watched AFC game in history. Meanwhile, the NFC game averaged 44.2 million viewers and was the lowest rated matchup since 2018. Of course the fact that the game was over well before it ended, also didn't help things.

One last note. Ad rates for the Super Bowl on Fox have officially set a new record with at least 10 advertisers ponying up $8 million for a 30-second in-game ad. In general, the NFL does it better than any other major sport, but at the end of the day, it's all about making as much money as possible for the league and the owners.

So the (fine) silver is more than 3 times the price of the gold.

If the Raiders were in the SB the coins would come in silver and black.

It was also the early game, so people in the western time zones were doing their own early activities. For example, I was skiing at Beaver Creek where they give out free chocolate chip cookies at 3 PM MST.

I bolted early to watch the second half of the game, but Mrs. Surround (wisely) stayed around for the cookies. :)

Also, it was brutally cold the previous weekend and earlier in the week, so many people were happy to get outside in the milder weather. Yeah, let’s blame everything on the weather. Lol

Gotta read that fine print Mr Simms. The gold one is minted in "fine silver plate" and has "24k gold plated highlights". The silver one is minted with an ounce of pure .999 silver.

Nice perk. Are they warm cookies?

I remember being on Celebrity cruises in the 2000s that had a tradition of "sorbet hour" every sea day at 2:00. Different flavor every day. Every waiter on the boat carried those trays around till they were gone.

Its not a popularity contest. Its the NFCs turn to be designated as the home team this year. So the coin would read KC @ Plilly
I just want to know who gets to toss the thing prior to the start of the game. I think we should let Goff do it - after all, he is good at wildly tossing things in the big games ( yes, Im STILL bitter --but it was not all Goff, the whole team choked ))

Given that the Lions defense couldn't stop a squad of 11 toddlers, Goff felt that he had to score a TD on every possession. The exhausted list of injuries on defense just finally caught up to the team.

When they first come out the cookies are warm, but with an air temp of 12 F, it doesn't take long for them to cool down while being distributed.
