All the coverage i see is that Lamar's was the most ever for a Super Bowl halftime show. What was the '85 show? Google says 12 million through Eurovision!
Yes Sir, well , the Prince Syracuse show in '85 had nothing to do with a SB game.
My bad, my wrong. Still, 12 million people watching the Syracuse performance is pretty grand.

Yeah, you sending me down a serious rabbit (w)hole! Looks like Lamar's show and the first lunar landing are the top two. I saw them both! And here i thought da Bears Super Bowl victory . . . wOw--when will we Bears fans move past 1986!? Hmm, . . . 2026 . . . ?

The final episode of MASH*, titled "Goodbye, Farewell and Amen", was watched by 106 million viewers. This made it the most-watched television episode in U.S. history at the time

I'm guessing Lamar's 131 million was based on world viewership, I'm guessing MASH was US only.
And it was 40 years ago.
