A nibble here, a nibble there ... biting you can be a sign of affection. As long as spiders keep other more bothersome bugs at bay, they have a home. Unless, of course, they bite me.

Ah, you've been to the Daintree, magical place, rain forest down to the sea. Yes, If you're in North America, the critters that will kill you are likely to be large, so you can see them coming (e.g. bears, cougars, mountain lions), but in Australia, it's more likely you'll never know what's killed you because you'll never see it.They grow a lot of big things Down Under. Like this 5 meter long croc named Scarface hanging out on the banks of the Daintree River.
But its the deadly small things there that are probably more likely to get you.
We do have our fair share of venomous spiders and snakes. Most notorious are black widows, brown recluses, and rattlesnakes. If you're in North America, the critters that will kill you are likely to be large, so you can see them coming (e.g. bears, cougars, mountain lions), but in Australia, it's more likely you'll never know what's killed you because you'll never see it.
