Sorting through some pics from Colorado last weekend....here's a few:

And an extra I had at Woods Boss, "Vivette" NEDIPA with lactose and blackcurrant (8.4% abv, ibu n/a)...really enjoyed this one, should have brought a crowler back with me.

Sharing with Mrs D, a small growler from last weekend's trip....San Luis Valley Brewing (Alamosa, CO) blackberry lime gose (specs not listed but low abv and ibu). First taste of this is pretty average but after a few sips the flavor of the fruits come through nicely.

Making and eating dinner.....

Liquid Mechanics Brewing (CO)...Hopacity "both coasts" IPA (6.1% abv, 40 ibu)....pretty good IPA.

La Cumbre - Project Dank - Autumn 2019 Edition (7.5% abv, ibu = a lot)...can't ever go wrong with this one, and I see several more in my near future.

I tried a can of the Shiner Oktoberfest and was sorely disappointed. It was so bitter I wouldn't even finish it. That's so off style for a Festbier I don't even know what to say. One star!

Another home-brew in progress. This time it's a gose that we'll add some prickly pear to...done that before and it came out really nice (won a gold medal in that category at the local home-brew competition).

Almost time to chill the wort, get the carboy sanitized.

So awesome! I used to love brewing home-brew. When I retire, I'm going to get back in the hobby.

To be honest, I think Shiner is a horrible brand. I can't think of one beer from them I like. Ugh....

Seems like everyone is going the NE hazy/juicy IPA route today.

Yeah. I initially refused to even try them.....that is until I had a local brewery's version here in Normal, IL. I found it simply one of the best beers I've ever had. Unfortunately, I seriously doubt they market their beers much past Illinois. It's a Mango IPA, and I mean it's a heavy hitter...TONS of body, flavor and for sure....."MangoE" I've not found another from any other brewer that touches this one. But, I know there must be hundreds I cannot get and therefore, not try.

Company for Sunday dinner, sharing a crowler of Starr Bothers "The Red Queen" raspberry gose (6.5% abv, 12 ibu).

Transitioning from the sour to the hops, what better way than a sour IPA....Epic Brewing (Denver) "Tart'n'Juicy" sour IPA (4.5% abv, 60 ibu). Very light, sessionable IPA with a pucker.

I’m only on my second beer in 90 minutes.

First it was a 7.5 ABV Guinness Foreign Extra Stout...




...which lead me to a 8.0 ABV Guinness Antwerpen Stout.

Guinness Extra Stout 5.6 ABV

Mrs D is away until tomorrow evening, so the usual share is waiting until Sunday, but I'm having a sour anyway! Ex Novo "Hello, My Name Is Indigo Montoya" lemon sour with indigo leaves (5.4% abv, 46 ibu). Tastes as good as it looks.
