Please post your thoughts and comments on this new reissue of the album "Up to Here" by the Tragically Hip.
The album has been reissued as a 3 CD/Blu-Ray set featuring Dolby Atmos, 7.1, 5.1, and binaural mixes on the Blu-Ray.

Well , I just have to say , while it's a decent surround mix via 5.0 , those vocals of the late Gordon Downey's are waaay too loud for my tastes.

This is one bluray you will be seeking out centre channel levels.

Other than that there are 2 hit tunes on this disc . Two of which I used to hear a lot of on FM carriers, so its worth checking out for :
"New Orleans Is Sinking" and
"Blow At High Dough"

This disc is musically better than Phantom Power , and if your a fan , this album in surround is a must.

Gave it an Eight ,minus one re vocals ...so a SEVEN .
 
I think this is an incredible release. The surround is very good even if it isn´t perfect. But it lifts the music very much compared to the stereo version.
The music on album in itself is just fantastic. To also get an filmed concert on the bluray is perfect. This band was really good live and it is nice to compare live presentation against studio.
