I appreciate your response and given solution.

My main concern was getting the 3D content to play. I have a Roku but it is not compatible with 3D content from Fandango.

Nope. I received an e mail from them in that on December 10th the service on the Oppo would go dead. On the 9th I logged on with the PC & that was all there was to it.

The 3D requirement does add a wrinkle to to it. I hope gets it ironed out. Keep us informed.

I've been binge watching Amazon Prime's amazing series RED OAKS and can very highly recommend it. GREAT CAST and recreation of 1980's New Jersey with an equally great soundtrack

Red Oaks (TV Series 2014-2017) — The Movie Database (TMDB)

lately I've been catching up with some older series that I missed the first time around; just finished season one on a couple.

First up is the western Deadwood on HBO/MAX. Lots of mud, gambling, whoring, and cursing. Barely a scene goes by without a hearty "cocksucker" induced!
Olyphant doing his best Clint Eastwood impersonation, and great performances IMO, by Geri Jewell as the saloon's cleanup lady Jewel and Ray McKinnon as Preacher. A couple of surprise actors I didn't know were in the series, Titus Welliver as bagman/fixer/contract killer Silas Adams (later to star in the series "BOSCH", Alice Krige as the whore Maddie (later to become Star Trek's evil Borg Queen) and Sarah Paulson as Miss Isringhausen a tutor for a young orphan girl (later in the long-running series American Horror Stories.) The last episode of season one was a real action packed and heart felt episode that impressed. (y)

I've also been going back to Netflix to see the series "Peaky Blinders" with Cillian Murphy and Sam Neill. Just finished season one of that series. Apparently later on a couple of actors show up in this series - Adrien Brody, and Anya Taylor-Joy.

*Been catching this ultra violent limited miniseries Western (6 episodes) on Netflix. Mostly about the Utah War, the Shoshone Indians, The U.S. Military and Jim Bridger's fort; starring Taylor Kitsch. (doesn't appear to me, they were trying to be historically correct)
From what I've been reading, not looking like a season 2 will be made, but there are discussions about perhaps a prequel.

Star Trek: Section 31

Paramount+ January 24

Star Trek: Section 31

Watched this one the other day, lots of flashy action; but for some reason didn't really grab me. I also haven't noticed much obvious hype or comments online about it (I did see a couple of very negative hits.) Anyone else have opinions on this Star Trek streaming movie (Paramount +)???

I thought it was dreadful...

It's hard to get your head around the mindset of the people in charge of Star Trek these days. The classic Trek fans (and I'd include myself in this) basically want "diplomacy in space" and a semi-exciting exploration of moral and ethical issues, and the kind of people who want futuristic shoot-em-up action movies don't care about Star Trek at all, so who are they making this for exactly?
