No, it shows 5.1 with silent center and LFE with quad files, which is fine for me, as it doesn't impact the sound and I'd never want to 'upmix' any of my surround recordings into more channels than they were actually mixed in. This is what the 'Best match' setting in Kodi/CoreELEC does, it outputs audio in a channel configuration that's compatible with your AVR.

Thanks for confirming. Just wanted to know as it affects my investigation into why it will not output 4.0 (It can output 3.1!)

Generally speaking, these issues are related to AVRs (not sure which one you have) not having support for any channel assignments between 2.0 and 5.0 (ie 3.1, 4.0, 4.1 etc.) even though they're in spec and should be supported.
I was surprised and annoyed when I hooked up my Nvidia Shield to my NAD T 758 receiver and found that it didn't know what to do with 4.0 or even 5.0. Was really cursing NAD for a while...then I hooked up a Raspberry Pi and the same files played back properly.

It's so frustrating how often so much stuff is half...uhhh...baked.
