Perhaps modern Bluetooth speakers, earbuds and headphones lack the character of older equipment.

I'm debating whether to get my Pioneer CLD-900 LD/CD player fixed, I've replaced most of my movie LDs with DVD/Blu-rays but it would be fun to watch my music video LDs again.

While it might cost you a small fortune to have your Pioneer LD/CD player fixed .....is it really worth it? I have a huge collection of Laserdiscs in my arsenal but have NO desire WHATSOEVER to revisit any of them ... and I'm sure a lot of them have suffered laser rot.

And since most of them now have sparkling new BD or even 4K remasters in lossless audio your desire for nostalgia may even disappoint you.

I LOVED the LD format 25 or so years ago and embraced it wholeheartedly but then was then and now is NOW and IMO, there is nothing like watching video and listening to audio in current state of the art 1080i/p or 4K video and LOSSLESS audio codecs!
