Norah Jones Live at Ronnie’s Scott’s

Great trio performance from Norah on piano and vocals accompanied by Christopher Thomas on bass and Brian Blade on traps. Front stage centered with surrounds for ambiance, but a beautifully shot and recorded show.

Fantastic performance by all.

If not make sure to get the Analogue Productions release, some sort of mixing or mastering deficiencies in the earlier releases I've read.

New Year's Concert 2017...
oh man I LOOOVE this stuff!!!!
The MCH mix is nothing to write home about but ...
whatapoifoooooormance!!!
The Conductor, Gustavo Dudamel is a star, enjoying every moment...
and the DR has to be HUGE!!!! Awesome dynamics and quality...would love to know all the mics (I see several 414s scattered onstage) and the technique used..
Definitely worth the price of admission!
and the ballet performance is sublime...

I feel like dancing a waltz....

EDIT: ..of all the days in the year for me to be watching this.. and I chose the conductor's BIRTHDAY.. Happy Birthday, Se~or Dudamel

Astrology.. a bunch of hooey!!!.. right?

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - “Live At The Olympic - The Last DJ” - 5.1 DTS DVD. From 2002, Petty plays the entire Last DJ album plus a few covers and hits. Accompanied by a full orchestra conducted by LA producer Jon Brion. Excellent recording with a decent live surround mix - front centric and crowd in the rears with a little extra support from guitars and orchestra.

Steven Wilson Get All You Deserve. Watched it this weekend. Pretty Sweet.

A couple of concert Blu-rays to be released in the coming months that some folks might find interesting:

1) Foreigner - London 1978. I don't follow the band so someone else in the know can comment on whether or not this footage has ever been seen before:

2) Todd Rundgren's Utopia - Chicago 2018. From last year's reunion tour. Todd did say in one interview that he was mixing the audio in surround.

Does anyone know why Roger Powell wasn't on board for this trip?
