Incredible Expanding Mindfuck (Complete-box set)

Received today. Unfortunately, The Beatles Capitol Years Vol. 1 is being returned. They sent out the original defective long box that I already have instead of the later square box that was fixed.

Interesting too, the R.E.M. vinyl record I received is pressed in Mexico. This is the first record in my collection that is pressed outside of Europe and the United States.

So instead of the usual ticks/pops, Perp, disc inclusions might include the sound of Mexican Jumping Beans!

Are you sure all long boxes have the defective disc? Mine did, but atcthe time Capitol was sending out replacement discs for those that mailed in the defective one.
I thought that they were still producing the longbox with the corrected disc.
I could easily be wrong, it's been a while since those were first released.

From what I remember, the defective long box was replaced by a square box when the issue was found. I never received any replacement discs from when I purchased my set back in 2004.

The box set I received yesterday is the same long box that I have with the same catalog, etc, numbers. I tried to do a search on Discogs pertaining to the issue and, unless I missed it, didn’t see any comments. However, I did see the replacement square box that came out shortly after.

What's a shame is the fact that I saw a used copy of the square box that you need.
That was many months ago at a local record store.

I’ve been exchanging email for the past two days with udiscovermusic and because they don’t stick to one person helping you out, I have a feeling I’ll be stuck with this second copy. For the most part, the first CSR understood what I was trying to explain. Today, I get a totally different person saying they’re sorry I got a damaged item, not defective.
