haha - awesome! I placed a bigger order, along with the 2 new multi-channel titles. Seems they were waiting to make a single shipment...which is fine by me. So, I should have the 2 new ones along with about 4 older ones I didn't have.

And they are SUPERB!!!!!!!!

The Cecil Holmes disc is remarkable. I had no expectations, never having heard of them. Quadraphonic mix is incredible, the arrangements are gripping, the sound is fabulous, the music is top notch. I just sat there grinning, tapping my foot, just gobsmacked. It's incredible. An 11.

The Deodato is wonderful too. Again, magnificent quadraphonic mix, superb arrangements, superb sound, superb music. And the way that that electric guitar bursts out of the rear left speaker in Baubles, Bangles and Beads is a joy to the ears. Another 11.

I just pray that people buy these discs in high numbers. Let's hope that Vocalion keep them coming for many years to come.

Based on the quality and price of the last few releases, I have decided to buy these whether I am familiar with the title or not. I have yet to be disappointed. Just great stuff all around. I cannot wait for the latest shipment!

Another fine job by the team at Dutton/Vocalion. Bravo!

One surprise - I didn't know that Angela Bofill was the girlfriend of Jazz flute player Dave Valentin until reading the liner notes on the Stereo SACD.
Vocalion would be wise to release one (or more) of her albums from the Arista/GRP catalog on SACD. She was a better known/bigger selling artist than Valentin.

I'm excited about the two quad two-fer SACDs - I waited until they got them in stock before placing my order. But anyway these should sound as good as anything yet we've heard from D/V. I wonder if we will later get any rock or rock & roll in quad?

I worked as a recording engineer on a CD where Dave (RIP) played...his solos were a blast! So sad the way about his last days/yeaers ....

Well I'm really digging Cecil Holmes after a previewing of the album. Cool tunes! So decided to order it with Ray Davies! Whoop whoop - more Quad albums!
