a second jazz print that my daughter decorated for Father's Day, 2000, when she was four. Coltrane's Concert in Japan was released in Synthesized Quad on LP. On the discogs release page for the cd pictured above, the following note appears:
"This concert was originally recorded monaurally for radio broadcast. The master heard here can be especially interesting when heard through matrix quadraphonic/stereo playback equipment."

Weird Al Yankovic has been a guest on The Simpsons twice, so he has two figures . . . go figure, dolls!

I found the loosie of him with glasses and a m(o)ustache whilst perusing resale shops; i also scored the dvd collection of his videos, which sound good in Dolby Digital 5.1! I like how the Simpson's "Collectible Action Figures" (as noted on the package) reflect the Weird Als on each release. Stay Surrounded, Comrades!

Whoa! I nearly forgot about this thread. (Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans.) Here's a picture i took in August that i am just getting round to posting! By the time R.E.M. appeared as guests on The Simpsons back on 18 November 2001, they were a trio: drummer Bill Berry left the band in October 1997 in order to work on his hay farm in Farmington, GA, where he has remained happy and free from any bizarre gardening accidents to this day. I note all of this to say that, unlike my Simpsons Aerosmith or McFarlane Saturday morning cartoon Beatles dolls–action figures–which are missing drummers, this set is complete! As is my collection of R.E.M. surround discs:

Just got these two items in the mail today...(sorry , no MCH artists involved but, hey so many stem remixes from the Boston LP kinda count!)
this one is my THIRD Newbury comics t shirt I get... got one in the late 80s when I was living there, bought it in the shop-RIP-, second one was in early noughties cause my original one had only ONE side left to it, and a NEW one.. it seems I got the LAST ONE in stock and this is the Pride one that I did not see cause I 'd have gotten this one instead!)

Boston was the very first concert i ever saw! Sophomore year in high school! That shirt takes me back!
