Well, while Moon Safari didn't make an impression on the American album charts, it was a Top 10, multi-platinum hit in the UK. This may explain why I haven't been able to find the new edition on any U.S. vendors' sites as of yet. It might not be getting released in the States. It was also highly critically acclaimed. It featured on lots of year-end and decade-end best-of lists in a lot of the major music magazines. I love Knopfler, but new albums from classic rockers don't tend to sell in large quantities.

I too wouldn't have had a clue about the band were it not for QQ, but I've been digging the Atmos mix of this on Apple Music. It's excellent. If I have to buy an import copy to get the blu-ray I'll certainly do so.
I read that it is releasing in North America in May but UK and Europe in March. They are doing live shows in Europe in spring so perhaps the label is waiting for May in NA to coincide with some live dates…fingers crossed.

I'm curious with everyone's doing I have been waiting for Amazon us as that's the most relevant for my residency. But to see that it's more expensive and months later to get it from there compared to another company I think you guys said was called JPC in Germany that with shipping would be a few months sooner and three to five US Dollars less I'm curious. Are people still going to be ordering from us Amazon or essentially saying screw it and ordering from a broad to get it two months early I'm tempted as much as it annoys me to not be able to order from my own country that I pay prime for the two-month waiting. Is really irksome I'd like to know if I'm not alone I haven't done anything yet but I'm waiting to see what others in similar situations are doing?

I'm really thinking of ordering from JPC provided they don't up the shipping as Amazon UK and all these others do to nearly 15 or 20 Euros or pounds which is ridiculous Canada says it won't even ship to me in the US if it were just the cost I'd wait for the us but the fact that we're getting a two months later that just seems asinine. There's not even a reason given if there was something special I would but how ridiculous it's really irksome too with no reason to just have us delayed compared to the rest of the world by 2 months what the hell is that about? Barring I hear something compelling or interesting enough to wait an extra 2 months for, I think JPC is about to earn my first purchase from them.

Congrats JPC you win my order. Screw Amazon us for taking 2 months later not taking part of that nonsense. Thank you everyone for suggesting JPC

Thanks for the chatter on the JPC and Amazon pricing + timing. Also, like others I absolutely maintain a spreadsheet of what I have ordered. Actually, my sheet is the complete list culled from QQ noting all the immersive releases each year. I note if I want to order it, and if so that it has been done, and update it when it is received. I like the idea of adding which seller the order was placed at, since sometimes I do get fuzzy on that!

Over at SDE Paul has some additional info on the release, including the track listing for the bonus CD. He also mentions that "David Whitaker’s version of ‘Remember’ is also available in Dolby Atmos on the blu-ray as a bonus track. Also, the hi-res stereo version of the album on the blu-ray, along with that bonus track, is in super high resolution: 192 kHz / 24 bit."
