Oh wow, oh wow, Roads To Moscow in surround? Where's my wallet?
Oops…I missed the link that brings me to pricing on the Cherry Red website. Hoping I can find this a bit cheaper on other sites.Looks good - I like the early Al Stewart albums I've heard. I hope that this is reasonably priced, as the prior Al Stewart were a bit costly considering what was included.
Although this is by far my favorite Al Stewart album, the ~$70 price tag is a bit eye watering, even with a few bonus tracks and a live show included. To be fair, it's only a few bucks more than the other 3CD/DVD deluxe sets, but still... I passed on those but this one will be a tougher call. Sadly, I'm doubtful this will be offered anywhere else for less money. The previous deluxe sets have only held their value or went up!
As with most Esoteric releases, I expect this will be stocked at Burning Shed for a lower price. Most also show up at Amazon, first at list, then dynamically discounted just like everything else.Cherry Red has a similarly priced Rascals box set that is currently selling on Import CDs for $54. So there's a chance that once other retailers start listing it, you may find a more affordable option. Fingers crossed!
I bought this album new and still have it somewhere in the Bassment library . For the most part I just let the lyrics & music wash over me. Thanks to your article link I see so much more.If you are interested, this is an excellent read about the album concept and it's creation.

Right?Oh wow, oh wow, Roads To Moscow in surround? Where's my wallet?
Yes, good and bad for me. I enjoy the first 2 in my car, with a DTS decoder. This one will be strictly at-home listening.I believe this is the first studio release on Blu-ray. YOTC and TP were on DVD, I think. So lossless for this, right?
It looks like the work of a George Hardie. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Hardie_(artist)A typical Hipgnosis affair. That upper right corner thingy looks like it's taken from Pink Floyd's Wish You Here.
Yes… I would buy a reasonably priced edition just for that song.Oh wow, oh wow, Roads To Moscow in surround? Where's my wallet?
Nice to see that the set is reasonably priced (depending on one's perception of that term) at Import CDs, especially for Al Stewart fans.Import CDs: $53.64
Deep Discount: $62.02

Not listed yet at Amazon USA or Bull Moose.

Thanks but too late. Losing that $1.40 is absolutely killing me!$55.23 shipped in the U.S. from Collector's Choice with 15% code CCM and current free shipping deal, which makes it $1.40 cheaper than ImportCDs after its U.S. shipping ($2.99) is added. Taxes will be added depending on where you live.
