Just received my copy. Verdict on disc contents is:

DVD-V with DTS 5.1 24/96, Dolby, and PCM stereo 24/96

I'm completely without surround sound right now so I won't be able to offer insight into the mix, but the packaging is very nice and befitting such a great album. (Year of the Cat in surround has been on my wish list since forever!)

Sorry to hear that, get well soon :)

Just had my box set arrive -- box damaged, cellophane torn off and discs loose!

The discs do not seem to be very well secured in the box -- shame really considering the high quality of everything else.

The disc sleeves holding the discs in place are quite small and do not even protect half of the disc.

Not a great design considering the hammering these boxes will take being transported all over the world.

Sorry for the rant!

I would be pissed if I get it like that in the US

I was outside in the front yard when the courier delivered the recent John Lennon box set.

I heard the front gate doorbell ring and looked up to see the guy drop the package over the 6ft high gate onto the path. Sure enough a dent in one corner. What a jerk, he couldn’t wait 10 seconds for me to open the gate.

I've listened to this 3 times now and I'm rating it officially AWESOME, it's absolutely gorgeous.

You're gonna love it I'm sure, it knocks the Jon Anderson into a cocked hat by a long way.
Where did you get your copy Sven?
This one and Plastic Ono, are the two I've most looked forward to this year.

Great to hear that Alan has nailed the mix.
He was one of the original engineers too.

Does Cherry Red send dispatch notices? I did not create an account when I ordered the set.
