Just so you know I failed typing in high school. Kept hitting the wrong keys because I had my eye on the beautiful girl who sit beside me while I was typing. Some things never change.I've always wanted to get to the mother level.

Coming at this from budget & space limitations I've had to make a few compromises, (Sony STR DN1080, which only goes to 5.1.2 Atmos and most annoyingly defaults quad to stereo unless a silent center channel is used). I have 4 identical almost full range Magnat speakers but the overheads are tiny Klipsch, and the center a medium B&W. At the same time I've squeezed in a separate 2 channel system running 500W into some Martin Logans. My 2 channel system with some great legacy equipment is streets ahead of my surround set-up (the lounge is full of CDs, records & equipment).
I do feel I'm missing out on the full deal, but sometimes not as much (Point by Yello comes to mind), other times the fold-down may not be as successful.
