I was almost expecting to see a video like thisCHUCKY IS AT IT AGAIN-------HEART ATTACK AND STROKE!!
It all came to crunch last Thursday when I was at my work desk and I started to feel a dead center mild chest pain and thought Hmmmm that's not good for a 64 year old. After some encouragement from my workmates I drove to Frankston hospital and endured hours of their emergency department entrance. Initial tests were borderline and so I needed to have an angiogram the next day to see if my cardiac arteries were blocked. Next day I was on the slab and they put the tubes into my heart and did their thing and found NO BLOCKAGES!! All was well, then someone asked me a question and all I could do was mumble and slur, in addition the right hand side of my face had dropped and was partially paralised. I had had a stroke caused by the procedure - this happens in 1 in 700 cases. I drew the lucky straw. Next thing you know the emergency stroke department whizzed me off for a brain CAT scan and sure enough they found a clot in the brain and given the position they could not fish it out.
Over the next hour my speech improved and so did my face but then it went much worse and I could hardly get a mumble out yet I knew what to say, it was distressing stuff. They had a very powerful new clot drug that could improve the outcome in 75% of cases but it also could have made it much worse and cause paralysis on my right hand side but I only had another 15 minutes to make the decision as there is a time window when they can use this drug after the event. I decided to "crash through or crash" and went for it. After only a few minutes, my voice started to improve and so did my face, within an hour Chucky was back. I have attached a video taken at my hospital bed as evidence, if I look shabby- its hospital. I sent it to an old high school friend of mine her name was Desma.
They kept me in for a few more days of investigation on my ticker and did a bunch of other tests and turned me into a human pin cushion. The conclusion was there was no damage to my heart, no blocked arteries, no valve issues, no structural issues, no nothing!!! Also they have found zero brain damage. Usually the super clot busting drug does not work to 100% as it did with me- just lucky I guess. On the plus side it is very typical that old farts like me have some degree of coronary artery buildup and its been a back of my thoughts worry for years, turns out I can now eat all the Kransky sausages, pizzas, fish and chips as I want!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It turns out I am in a mystery catagory of micro heart attack of either being coronary artery oscillation reducing the flow- not blockage or a micro burst of a vein not artery and is similar to a cut finger, both will not kill you.
I am back home again. Worst thing is that I am not allowed to drive for a month, so people will have to lug me around and do some working from home occasionally
Oh all this cost me zero, its terrible down here in the socialist workers paradise of Australia with this oppressive socialized medicine comrades.
I am hard to kill
I was almost expecting to see a video like this
And yet on a lower budget, 6 billion Aussie dollars is worth quite a lot less. What a wimp, I have had more done than him!
The joys of regional locks, I get it frequently when someone posts a video from the USA.
Also glad Chucky’s OK (sounds like it would make a cool Pop song title!)
Hey BarfleGlad you’re OK, Chucky. As someone 10 years your senior, I keep wondering when something like that will happen to me. As the guy who jumped off the top of a 100-floor building said as he passed the 50th floor said, “so far, so good.”
Trust me you guys are about to get a bunch of presents!!!!Glad to hear you are OK! Keep the Quad gear coming!

Heart problems run in my dad’s family, and for years I figured that’s what would eventually get me. By the time he was my age, my dad had had two heart attacks and an aortic aneurism, and meither has happened to me. He had two strokes a couple of years ago that pretty much made him an invalid, but he’ll turn 98 this August and all his health issues are under control, as far as those with appropriate education can tell. Also, my mom will be 96 in a couple of months, so I’ve got the genetic thing on my side, at least.Hey Barfle
I really cannot recommend getting a cardiogram done but there is a safe alternative that is not quite as accurate but pretty good and that is a heart CT scan. They inject you with a rapidly decaying radioactive die and scan you and for a moment it feels like you just soiled yourself.
Its funny I regret what happened with the stroke but I am glad I have the result of the clean open arteries on the ticker all meaning I am unlikely to have a real heart attack in future. This is a relief as at 6 feet 5 and 260 lbs at a mature age I am obviously a potential victim! I feel relieved....peace of mind.
Tempted to respond, yep!. however, there is little to no evidence suggesting you are in my league regarding the human capacity for doing extraordinarily dumb things. How did you do those injuries......being an idiot like me????
