I never heard of it as a genre until it popped up on my Sirius XM Station List a couple months ago as "Yacht".....I think it has already been replaced by "Love".

Nothing says Yacht Rock more than "Christopher Cross/Christopher Cross", that Grammy winning album from way back when. I know every song by heart even though I haven't heard the whole thing in decades. Tried to SPEC it once, it came out horribly. Would have made a great Quadradisc.

Put it on and you'll ride like the wind in your yacht.
