Better Than Ezra - How Does Your Garden Grow? 5.1 DVD-A released 4/27/13

Just got my DVD-Audio in the mail. Sadly, I'm too busy with work to listen to it today.

Was a little sad that it wasn't in the typical DVD-Audio super jewel case but I'll quickly get over that.

Looking forward to hearing this and what ever else Music Valet has in store for us. Please please please (slightly begging) try to get your hands on those unreleased Fleetwood Mac mixes that were done but Warner sadly never allowed for release.

I just placed my order through Music Valet. Shipping was $10.97 to Canada, which seems a bit pricey, but I definitely want to support Rich and this endeavor. I am looking forward to hearing it!

I agree with wanting to support Richard on this. Will not ordering from Amazon not give same amount of support as its still a disk sold?
I know Amazon would get a cut of the price but maybe I am being naive but I didn't think it was very much that they take as they are a big volume seller.

I just tried re-ordering, but still showing a total of $27.41, to the U.K. Checked that I only have one item in my cart....says postage, 2DVD $11.- ??

DVD-A is 24/48 afaik, other than that..

Got mine too. I have one BTE disc (Deluxe) that I like a lot and had heard one of the songs on "Garden" before. Great mix and music. It's nice to have a DVD-A with music somewhere chronologically between the ELP/Tull/Floyd era and the Steven Wilson era! Definitely would be interested in more from Music Valet!

oh yes! absolutely!! there's not enough 80's & 90's rock & pop in surround! sandwiched between all the 70's Quad mixes and the mish-mash of classic and current (at the time!) music that appeared in 5.1 during the SACD/DVDA format wars of the 2000's, the 80's & 90's are the decades 5.1 forgot!

Very true ! I'd never heard of this band, but after listening to a fair bit of this album on the internet, this is the kind of music that appeals more to me....and is much more exciting than something like, Hawkwind !! ( Sorry Hawkwind fans )
I really do hope we have more melodic pop / rock releases in the coming months.

Hawkwind's more SW's kind of thing (and obviously an album/artist he holds dear, as he's stated, he has to love it to remix it).. yet we know he's doing XTC too, so we shouldn't rule out more 80's & 90's (i.e. non quad era or "hi-res format wars" days!) mixes from him down the line....

I am not sure to be honest. I agree Amazon's cut is probably quite small.

I didn't see your post before I submitted mine, so please don't think I was being critical of your questioning the shipping cost to Canada. I agree it seems expensive.

I saw the same "2 DVD" shipping when I placed my order to Canada. It must be a bug in their ordering system.

These are the kind of endevours that will keep surround music out there, and in the proper formats, and all of us need to support companies like MUSIC VALET if we want to continue to have access to commercial surround titles without having to pay eBay prices for used discs.

If all of us thousands of QQ members vote with our wallets and buy this Music Valet DVD-A hopefully that will encourage more!

We're in a strange situation these days.. we have the 5.1 systems in our homes and in our cars etc and yet we have nothing but hard to get out of print overpriced old stuff to play on them!

Having a Hi-Rez 5.1 system and no new 5.1 discs to play on it, is like having a Ferrari in the garage with worn out old wheels on it and no hope of getting new wheels easily/affordably/at all to drive it anywhere..!!! @:

I tried the Music Valet website first, but got a message that shipping to The Netherlands was not possible. Ordered from the BTE shop instead without any problem.

If you were in the site before, try emptying your cache and refreshing your browser. More than likely the cart remembers your previous selections. I also have a note to my web store on this to confirm there's not an issue.
