IMHO…..it’s worth way more than Bruce Springsteen’s catalogue

The media's reporting on all this is consistently imprecise & misleading. The Springsteen deal was for both songwriting (publishing) and recordings combined. The latest Bowie deal is for his song catalog only, not--contrary to the subheader in the WSJ--for his "studio albums." The rights to almost all of those albums went to Warner in a separate deal last September.
